Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to fill the role of Staff Specialist in Endocrinology.

About the Role:
  • This position will involve providing clinical management and consultation services to patients with endocrine disorders at the Illawarra Shoalhaven Diabetes Service.
  • The successful candidate will participate in the after-hours endocrinology on-call roster and care for inpatients admitted under Endocrinology as well as endocrinology consultation services for patients admitted under other specialties.
  • The role includes providing a minimum of three outpatient clinics at the Illawarra Shoalhaven Diabetes Service, with clinic services being provided district-wide based on clinical need.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on endocrine-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA Registration is required.
  • Fellowship with Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) is essential.
  • A valid NSW Drivers Licence is also required.
