Council is seeking a driven Work Health and Safety professional to join their team as a Work Health and Safety Specialist. This exciting opportunity will see you responsible for ensuring the coordination of Council's compliance with Work Health & Safety legislation and ensuring that Council's WHS Management System meets legislative requirements and ISO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, design, and integrate WHS Management Systems in compliance with WHS legislation and ISO.
  • Conduct detailed safety incident investigations in line with root cause or ICAM methodologies.
  • Educate and influence others regarding WHS matters.
  • Ensure Council's WHS Management System meets legislative requirements and ISO.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety.
  • Expert knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act, relevant legislations, and codes of practice.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or medical contraindication upon commencement.
  • Commitment to living Council's values of respect, integrity, trust, teamwork, and optimism.
