Campbelltown City Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Work Health and Safety Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Council's safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the coordination of Council's compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation and ensuring that Council's WHS Management System meets legislative requirements and ISO standards.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related field.
- Experience in developing, designing and integrating WHS Management Systems in compliance with WHS legislation and ISO standards.
- Expert knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act, relevant legislations and codes of practice.
- Expertise in conducting detailed safety incident investigations in line with root cause or ICAM methodologies.
- Effective interpersonal skills to educate and influence with regard to WHS matters.
- Commitment to living the Council's values of respect, integrity, trust, teamwork and optimism.
