About the role:

Council has an exciting opportunity for a driven Work, Health and Safety professional to join their team as a Work, Health and Safety Specialist. You will be responsible ensuring the coordination of Council’s compliance with Work, Health & Safety legislation and ensuring that Council’s WHS Management System meets legislative requirements and ISO.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety. Experience in developing, designing and integrating WHS Management Systems in compliance with WHS legislation and ISO. Expert knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act, relevant legislations and codes of practice. Expert in conducting detailed safety incident investigations in line with root cause or ICAM methodologies. Effective interpersonal skills to educate and influence with regard to WHS matters. COVID- Vaccination or medical contraindication upon commencement. Commitment to living our values of respect, integrity, trust, teamwork and optimism.
