As a key member of the council's safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the coordination of Council's compliance with Work, Health & Safety legislation and ensuring that Council's WHS Management System meets legislative requirements and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, design, and integrate WHS Management Systems in compliance with WHS legislation and ISO standards.
- Conduct detailed safety incident investigations in line with root cause or ICAM methodologies.
- Educate and influence stakeholders on WHS matters.
- Ensure Council's WHS Management System meets legislative requirements and ISO standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety.
- Expert knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act, relevant legislations, and codes of practice.
- Effective interpersonal skills to educate and influence stakeholders on WHS matters.
- COVID-19 Vaccination or medical contraindication upon commencement.
- Commitment to living the council's values of respect, integrity, trust, teamwork, and optimism.
- Permanent full-time employment.
- Salary from $94,000 to $104,000 per year.
