About the Role

The Benevolent Society is seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our Intensive Family Support program. As a Case Manager, you will work closely with families who are at risk of entering or have had involvement with the child protection system.

Using a strengths-based approach, you will engage and provide intensive support to families to help them make positive choices in their parenting. Your goal will be to strengthen families and enable them to overcome risks and increase their functioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with child protection and community services to enhance safety and family functioning.
  • Assess family needs using Common Assessment Tools and tailor in-home support to increase capacity and reduce risk.
  • Engage with clients of all ages during assessment, developing, implementing, and reviewing client plans with a focus on strengths and risk reduction.
  • Coordinate with various service providers to ensure comprehensive support and access to necessary resources.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services field.
  • Two years' relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities.
  • Experience managing complex cases and working with children, young people, and their families.
