Job Opportunity for Fleet Operations Manager

Born out of a protest movement, the Aboriginal Legal Service is the primary legal service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW and the ACT.

We deliver free, culturally appropriate legal advice, representation, information, and referrals for thousands of people each year.

Our organization is nationally recognized for its strong advocacy and law reform work, ensuring that our services meet the needs of our community effectively.

Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Facilities and Fleet Supervisor located in Sydney, with some work from home flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing fleet operations and management, supervising staff, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring effective communication within the team.

The role will also involve implementing operational policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of staff members to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Coordinate fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient fleet management
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fleet operations and management
  • Strong leadership and supervision skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with the needs and cultural considerations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is an asset
