Paediatric Emergency Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Northern Health. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Paediatric Emergency Physician to provide high-level care to children presenting to our emergency department.
About the Role:This role requires:
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) or Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)
Ideally candidates will also have completed Stage 2 PEM training / hold joint fellowship of RACP / ACEM.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to children presenting to the emergency department, including assessing and managing acute medical conditions, stabilizing critically ill patients, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and good working knowledge of Paediatric Emergency Medicine as demonstrated by Fellowship with ACEM or RACP, and ideally completion of Stage 2 PEM training
- Proven ability to promote and encourage a psychologically safe culture
- Demonstrated growth mindset, with a pragmatic solution-focused approach to clinical practice
- Well-developed skills in collaboration, cooperation, conflict resolution and an ability to empathize with a diverse range of views, cultures and perspectives
