Leadership Opportunity in Paediatric Emergency Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled clinical leader to fill the role of Director – Paediatric Emergency Medicine. This position offers a unique opportunity for collaboration with a high-performing team within a leading health service.

The successful applicant will have the ability to enhance the department's reputation by providing guidance and support to junior medical staff, promoting quality assurance and governance, and driving strategic and operational enhancements.

  • Provide leadership and direct care in a dynamic paediatric emergency environment
  • Supervise and mentor both junior and senior medical staff
  • Oversee quality assurance, governance, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Promote education, research, and simulation training initiatives
  • Drive innovation to establish the Paediatric ED department as a leader in its field

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Specialist qualification in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (FRACP and/or FACEM)
  • Current AHPRA Specialist Registration
  • 2-5 years of experience in management, such as Deputy Director
  • Excellent communication skills, guiding teams through change and pursuing excellence
  • An empathetic and caring nature, naturally motivating others to follow their lead
