Learning and Development Expert

We are seeking a dedicated Learning and Development Expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating and leading learning and development initiatives and programs.

  • Develop innovative learning strategies and lead the implementation of training programs across the organization.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to contribute to the overall learning and development strategy and identify areas for improvement.

  • Manage the central learning hub, by maintaining the learning calendar and events, regularly updating learning news, and updating learning resources when required.

  • Coordinate Primero's Graduate Program and Primero's Apprentice Program, ensuring the success of new hires.

  • Identify training needs within the business for white collar roles with an outcome to coordinate and implement relevant training programs.

  • Support the Onboarding process for new employees, including supporting the creation of engaging e-learning modules, creating relevant onboarding material and guides.

  • Manage corporate training needs, via business white collar Training Needs Analysis (TNA), and any development requests.

  • Participate in career days and industry events as required.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Learning and Development or Human Resources.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Learning and Development role within an engineering or construction company.

  • Previous experience managing Learning and Development programs and initiatives.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across all levels, both in written and verbal form.

  • Strong Microsoft skills and computer literacy.

  • A passion for Learning and Development.

  • A curious mindset with a proactive approach to seek knowledge and problem solve.

  • Team focused approach, contributing to a continuous improvement culture.
