About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in the Bendigo and surrounding areas. This is a full-time or part-time (4 days per week) opportunity.

Your Everyday
  • As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, you'll work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.
  • You'll utilize assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding.
  • You'll build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
  • You'll develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilizing positive behaviour support framework.
  • You'll conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
  • You'll collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges.
  • You'll attend weekly team meetings in the Hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee, and laughs.
  • You'll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor.

Who We Are Looking For

We're looking for individuals who resonate with our values and can seamlessly integrate into our dynamic environment. To work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll have:

  • Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required).
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field).

  • Strong communication skills and be a team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • A valid Australian drivers license.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Childrens Check.
