We are seeking a skilled Dementia Consultant to join our team at HammondCare. As a Dementia Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering Australian Government funded dementia behaviour support services across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to understand the impact of dementia on individuals.
  • Equip carers and clinicians with the skills to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through coaching, development of resources, and behaviour support planning.
  • Develop reports that are contextualised to individual situations and people, driving change and improving quality of life for people living with dementia.
  • Undertake assessments to understand the holistic experience of individuals and their care networks.
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders to develop and implement effective behaviour support plans.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need to have expertise in assessment and biopsychosocial approaches, as well as the ability to synthesise information and provide recommendations informed by evidence-based best practice.
