About the Role

This is a leadership position within our residential aged care facility, reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the Care Manager.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating clinical care, and leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day management of the facility, ensuring smooth operations and effective risk management
  • Collaboration with leadership to establish and implement regulatory measures in relation to new reforms across aged care and associated sectors
  • Leading a team to deliver individualised quality care and services, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards
  • Reporting to the Governance Committee on a regular basis
  • Undertaking risk assessments and developing risk management plans

Requirements for Success

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within aged care, preferably with experience in managing a residential aged care facility
  • Strong knowledge of the aged care accreditation system and compliance requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements, including those related to quality and risk management
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
