About the Role

The Community Program Coordinator plays a key role in shaping a vibrant and meaningful volunteer experience across various programs, including seniors' exercise parks, cooking initiatives, assisted transport services, social support programs, and film festivals.

  • Leading the engagement and development of volunteers across multiple community programs
  • Collaborating with teams to deliver impactful community projects
  • Designing and facilitating training and onboarding for new and existing volunteers
  • Providing support to casual users of council facilities, including responding to enquiries and troubleshooting facility use issues
  • Supporting volunteer compliance, communications, and recognition initiatives
  • Contributing to planning, evaluation, and policy development to enhance volunteer-led services
  • Building strong relationships with community organizations, seniors groups, and internal stakeholders
About You

As a natural connector with a passion for community, inclusion, and ageing well, you will bring experience working with volunteers and a flair for bringing people together to deliver practical, creative, and meaningful programs.

  • Qualifications and/or experience in social work, welfare, community services, human resources, or related fields is desirable
  • A track record of working with volunteers and fostering a positive and inclusive culture
  • Previous experience in facility support will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with an eye for both detail and the big picture
  • Confidence working across multiple programs and stakeholders
  • An understanding of volunteer management principles and compliance requirements
