Job Description

The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Caulfield.

We are seeking a Croatian speaking volunteer to spend time with an elderly person living in The Village at HammondCare Caulfield. Ideally you will be able to speak Croatian fluently, be able to visit for a cuppa and a chat or, weather permitting take a walk around the grounds together.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitorcan be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well asyourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of lifeand help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer VisitorScheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote linksbetween elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, NDIS Worker Screening Check

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week fora one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weeklyto fortnightly depending on your availability.
