Empower Lives through Library Engagement

We seek an individual to engage with residents at a residential aged care facility in Caulfield. This role involves assisting residents in selecting books to read or simply enjoying the pictures.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to foster a sense of connection among residents. Regular visits from volunteers can significantly enhance the quality of life for our residents, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others while developing your own communication and empathy skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents in selecting books to read or browse.
  • Engage with residents to select a book to borrow and facilitate its return to their cottage.

Requirements:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Hold a valid National Volunteer Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Be available to visit once a week or fortnight between 9am and 4pm.

Flexibility is essential as we aim to accommodate your schedule.
