Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing disputes lodged with External Dispute Resolution Schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate EDR cases across Australia and New Zealand, reviewing responses and preparing written submissions.
  • Participate in conciliations and lead meetings with senior stakeholders to identify risks and drive business improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including EDR Schemes, to support complaint resolution and customer retention.
Requirements
  • Experience in General Insurance, preferably in travel, motor, or marine, with a focus on disputes or claims management.
  • Advanced understanding of the Insurance Contracts Act (ICA) and relevant regulations, ensuring compliance and customer fairness.
  • Strong customer service and complaint resolution abilities, with a focus on restoring and strengthening customer relationships.
  • Skilled in conciliation and mediation, with experience preparing clear and effective written submissions.
  • Proven relationship builder, able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Trustees and EDR Schemes.
