Dispute Resolution Specialist Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Dispute Resolution Specialist. As a key member of our dispute resolution unit, you will play a critical role in guiding customers and stakeholders towards fair and balanced resolutions.

Job Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced dispute resolution professional with a strong background in managing and resolving complaints referred to our IDR process or lodged with EDR schemes such as the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
  • Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers and stakeholders, providing clear guidance and support throughout the complaint resolution process.
  • You will assess complaints carefully, making well-reasoned decisions and communicating outcomes with empathy and professionalism.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of [X] years of experience in dispute resolution and complaint management, preferably in General Insurance or a related field.
  • Legal and/or mediation qualifications or experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the AFCA complaints process and an understanding of relevant regulatory requirements is essential.
  • An exceptional customer-focused approach, with strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills to identify issues and find creative solutions.
  • The ability to handle both straightforward and complex cases with confidence and professionalism.
