Your Role

Kickstart your career as a Dispute Resolution Specialist with IAG This role is ideal for launching your legal career and gaining practical experience in dispute resolution.

You'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence. In this role, you'll guide customers and stakeholders toward fair and balanced resolutions, ensuring positive outcomes. We provide all necessary tools and training from day one. This is a permanent position, open to applicants from all major cities in Australia. We offer flexible working arrangements, including a mix of work from home and in-office days.

What You'll Be Doing

• Applying legal knowledge to interpret insurance policies and resolve disputes, including preparing correspondence, complaint outcome letters, and dispute submissions for AFCA processes.
• Negotiating with customers to resolve complaints fairly and efficiently, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Engaging with customers and stakeholders, providing clear guidance and support, assessing complaints carefully, making well-reasoned decisions, and communicating outcomes with empathy.
• Building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with a knowledgeable, supportive team to share insights and improve customer support.
• Gaining real-world experience that allows you to utilize your legal knowledge and offers career advancement opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• A foundational understanding or exposure to dispute resolution, legal principles, or insurance contracts—no worries if you're new; willingness to learn is key
• A Law Degree and/or mediation qualification or experience is a bonus.
• A genuine desire to help others, with strong communication skills, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Confidence in listening attentively and articulating your thoughts clearly, even in busy or complex situations.
• Good organizational skills and effective time management to handle tasks in a dynamic environment.
