About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our digital transformation agenda, driving the effective operation and performance of all ICT services. As Chief Information Officer, you will play a critical role in shaping our department's future, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in ICT strategy and management, with experience in driving business outcomes through technology solutions. You will work closely with our business groups to align initiatives with our department's goals, ensuring seamless integration of ICT services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine how to achieve results through adaptation and development of ICT solutions, applying analytical, interpretive, evaluative, creative, and innovative thinking.
  • Support our reform agenda by leading the ICT transformation, developing a strong ICT capability, and building the necessary capacity to achieve departmental priorities and outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the Senior Executive Service (SES) Band 2 level capabilities. Emphasis will be placed on candidates with technical knowledge and experience, as well as strong people skills, both in terms of managing teams within the Division and working with other parts of the Department and external bodies.
