Job Role Overview

A leading construction equipment dealer has been delivering exceptional customer service and product sales for 64 years, with a strong presence in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the National Service Manager to oversee Melbourne operations, driving performance against set goals.
  • Lead a team, setting an example and driving results, maintaining work ethic and improving recruitment processes.
  • Balance new projects with oversight of existing ones, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate deliveries and service backup support to customers, prioritizing satisfaction levels.
  • Exercise leadership by example, motivating the team and wearing multiple hats as needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to OH&S policies and regulations.
  • Engage with customers daily on invoicing, payments, and issue resolution.
  • Direct Supervisors and the Service team in equipment repairs and service delivery.
  • Oversee workshop operations and collaborate with senior management to achieve objectives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience as a Service Manager in the earthmoving industry.
  • Experience working for a major dealership or OEM in Australia.
  • Cert III Heavy Plant Mechanic qualification.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Trade qualification as Fitter or Diesel Mechanic.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, have a Cert III Heavy Plant Mechanic qualification, and relevant trade qualifications. They should have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Service Manager in the earthmoving industry.
