Strategic Policy Manager

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in a Strategic Policy Manager role.

This position involves utilising strong policy development and stakeholder engagement skills to contribute to the development of strategic policies that support reform projects with a justice system focus.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reform strategies, incorporating input from various stakeholders.
  • Oversight of the implementation of cultural review recommendations, ensuring effective integration with departmental operations.
  • Effective coordination with other areas of the department responsible for implementation.
  • Budget bid development and submission.
  • Reporting and secretariat support.
  • Managing interdependencies with related work and operational reforms across the broader justice system.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale policy and reform projects, driving financial and performance improvements.
  • Knowledge and experience in budget management and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Sound knowledge of Victorian government administrative processes.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with ability to analyse complex operational, policy and legal issues.
  • Effective people leadership and management experience.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
