Strategic Aboriginal Policy Manager

The role of Strategic Aboriginal Policy Manager involves leading policy development, governance, coordination and strategic planning functions in a complex operating environment.
Main Responsibilities- Develop policies, guidelines and processes relating to people in custody.
- Oversee the development and review of programs and other support services for Aboriginal people in custody.
- Promote and seek endorsement of policy and program development through various forums.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Experience in planning and policy implementation.
- Business functions experience, including contract management, data collation and analysis, reporting and secretariat/governance activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal community and its issues.
- Able to communicate sensitively and work effectively with the Victorian Aboriginal community.
