Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a key role in the resolution of financial lines claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse first reports of claim to determine nature of loss, coverage provided and scope of damage.
  • Conduct or direct investigation relative to all aspects of reported claims, securing and filing supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Establish accurate reserves, maintaining an active diary for timely development and disposition of files.
  • Provide exceptional service standards, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Practice sound litigation controls over counsel, promptly documenting developments in claim files.
  • Meet with relevant parties to resolve issues, exercising good judgment in reaching final claim dispositions.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification, preferably a law degree.
  • Financial Lines Claims experience, with expertise in investigation techniques, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, legal requirements, and regulations, including damage evaluation and negotiation skills.
