The Specialist, Claims Resolution is responsible for the provision of cost effective and efficient legal services, advice and advocacy for claims within formal dispute processes. It is expected to optimise claims outcomes through the timely and quality management of dispute processes and provides feedback and recommendations to the business to improve claims practice.
As part of Claims Operations, the role is responsible for driving people, customer, financial and risk outcomes that contribute to the overall success of CTP Claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare submissions and act as an advocate for CTP Claims
- Prepare advice on liability, evidence, quantum and strategy that assist with the early and cost-efficient resolution of claims
- Monitor CTP claims outcomes, detect trends and implement actions to improve claim outcomes
- Contribute the development of agreements
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities in response to legislative changes, case law and other matters as required
- Align work and strategies to the claim's segmentation model - optimising liability and service outcomes
- Drive a team culture of continuous improvement focussed on exceptional service, engaged and capable staff, and evidence-based decision making
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of technical claims experience in CTP.
- Extensive legal experience including dispute resolution/advocacy
- Ability to balance the drive for improvement with Customer, Regulator, and Community expectations
- Tertiary qualifications/s in law
