About the Role:

  • Accurate and complete financial transaction records must be maintained.

  • The month-end and year-end close processes must be led and managed.

  • Internal controls must be monitored and strengthened to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.

  • Communication with auditors and coordination of audit processes is required.

  • Financial data analysis is necessary to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial and business accounting within a government or organization is essential.

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements is required.

  • Proficiency in PRIME (essential) and experience with MyWorkZone and SAP are highly regarded.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
