About the Role

The Ipswich City Council is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting strategic sourcing initiatives through procurement and contract administration services.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting sourcing and contract administration activities for goods, services, and materials within the category team.
  • Creating and maintaining purchase orders, problem-solving, and working with key stakeholders to minimize risks to the business and suppliers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a procurement role, preferably in a public sector capacity.
  • A passion for working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • The ability to be resilient, solution-focused, and capable of developing solid working relationships with key stakeholders.
