Job Description:

A dynamic and challenging opportunity exists for a Procurement Specialist to join our team at Whizdom Recruitment.

This is a key role that requires strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and supporting commercial elements of the capability lifecycle, including procurement planning, negotiating, and contract formation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Negotiation and Contract Formation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Execs, Product/Project Managers, and team members, to ensure seamless delivery of procurement services.
  • Contract Management: Support Contract Management Officers with mentoring, advice, and guidance on contract management best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, contract management, or a related field (1-3 years).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
What We Offer:

This is a full-time contract position available for an initial 7-month term with extension options. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a competitive salary.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience. You will also enjoy benefits such as flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional growth and development.
