SeaLink South Australia is seeking a highly experienced Marine Compliance Specialist to join our team based in the Fleurieu Peninsula area. This exciting new role will play a crucial part in ensuring our business and employees are suitably skilled to support AMSA and AMFA regulations for operational excellence and compliance.

About the Role

This key position reports directly to the Marine Operations Manager, responsible for prioritizing training needs, managing terminal infrastructure, and driving employee engagement with a growth mindset. Your leadership qualities will be essential in motivating and developing employees' skills and competencies.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a leader or trainer, with extensive knowledge of marine legislation and advanced knowledge of marine compliance. A MED2 certificate of competency and tertiary qualifications in Training and Assessment and Leadership would be desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize training needs and develop strategies to upskill employees
  • Manage terminal infrastructure and service equipment to ensure compliance
  • Drive employee engagement and motivation through effective leadership
  • Develop and implement plans to address training gaps and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a leadership or training role
  • Extensive knowledge of marine legislation and compliance
  • Advanced knowledge of marine operations and safety procedures
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or commitment to complete)
  • First Aid Certificate (beneficial)
