About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Training and Compliance Manager to join our team at SeaLink South Australia. This exciting new role has been developed to support ongoing marine compliance and employee development.

This key position will report directly to the Marine Operations Manager, ensuring that our business and employees meet all necessary regulatory requirements for operational excellence and safety.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of marine legislation and advanced understanding of marine compliance, including AMFA regulations. A MED2 certificate of competency and tertiary qualifications in Training and Assessment and Leadership would be highly desirable.

This role involves prioritising training needs, managing terminal infrastructure, and driving employee engagement with a growth mindset. The successful candidate will need to motivate and lead employees to ensure safety compliance is not compromised and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise training needs and coordinate skills development for employees
  • Manage terminal infrastructure and service equipment for marine operations
  • Drive employee engagement with a growth mindset and develop competencies
  • Liaise with the Marine Operations Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

About You

As a confident and experienced leader, you will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role. Proven leadership and project management skills are essential, along with problem-solving abilities, planning, and organisation skills. A strong background in marine compliance and previous experience in Learning and Development would be advantageous.

You will also need to possess exceptional time management and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure. Intermediate computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills are required.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
