Job Title: Compliance Specialist

As a key member of the compliance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our organization adheres to industry standards and regulations. This includes monitoring compliance with the Banking Code of Practice, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting publicly on findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative information to identify emerging problems and understand their significance
  • Providing compliance research as well as other duties on behalf of the committee
  • Monitoring and reporting on Code compliance by contributing to compliance programs and monitoring activities
  • Conducting compliance investigations, and assisting with targeted inquiries
  • Providing committee secretariat support
  • Engaging and liaising with stakeholders including consumer advocacy groups

Requirements:

  • Experience in the banking and finance industry or financial services or have regulatory and compliance experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team
