We are seeking a senior naval consultant to lead complex maritime projects across the Australasia region.

As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance to clients while supporting business development efforts and growing our presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Develop, deliver and ensure quality system requirements for naval advisory projects.">
  • Engage with senior defence and industry stakeholders in high-impact projects across acquisition, sustainment, fleet optimisation and life cycle extension.">
  • Identify and win new naval advisory work, building enduring relationships with clients across Defence, government and industry.">
  • Work with sales and service delivery teams to promote our advisory capability in Naval business.">
  • Support leadership in developing the Naval business within a business area to meet future business demands.">
  • Cordinate with other business areas and regional offices to ensure consistent commercial and service solutions.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Current security clearance or willingness to gain and maintain Australian Department of Defence security clearance.">
  • Relevant tertiary qualification recognised by Lloyd's Register in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or closely-related discipline.">
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the naval sector including its operational and regulatory landscape.">
  • Background as Chief Engineer or equivalent senior engineering role (O-4 or O-5 rank) in Royal Australian Navy or comparable naval service advantageous.">
  • Extensive professional experience with strong foundation in naval marine engineering and consulting.">
  • Membership in relevant professional institutions and continuous professional development through industry courses or defence-specific training programmes.">
  • Proven track record in technical advisory ideally in commercial setting with demonstrable experience delivering complex projects to government or defence sector clients.">
  • Demonstrated business development and leadership capabilities including business planning, client relationships and team management.">
  • Proficiency in English appropriate to the requirements of the role.">
