Maritime Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Systems Engineer to join our team in Sydney.

The successful candidate will contribute to improving Defence operational capability through the provision of engineering services to our Defence clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver maritime engineering services to improve the operational effectiveness of Defence maritime capabilities.
  • Experience in Defence maritime systems and understanding of engineering requirements.
  • Lead, manage and deliver Defence maritime projects.
  • Provide sound advice and solutions to dynamic and complex engineering issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Defence writing standards and technical documentation requirements.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in the maintenance of Australian Navy ships and Navy engineering practices. Additionally, they will have a commitment to working towards solving problems for our clients.

Required Capabilities:

  • Previous project experience within the Defence environment, with an understanding of Defence maritime engineering requirements and processes.
  • Possess relevant qualifications in engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems) with the ability to gain appropriate industry accreditation.
  • Hold (or will be able to obtain) a current Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) at Baseline level or higher and be eligible to access information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
