Propulsion Analyst II

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Propulsion Analyst II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our spacecraft propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced analysis of rocket engine systems, including steady-state and transient modeling
  • Develop and maintain complex fluid dynamics models to predict engine performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test propulsion systems
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in propulsion technology and apply them to our systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • At least 2+ years of experience in propulsion systems analysis or a related field
  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or Fortran
  • Experience with data analysis and modeling software packages
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with system-level analysis and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of propulsion system design and testing
  • Experience with team leadership and mentoring
