Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Executive Project Coordinator to join our Indigenous Engagement & Partnerships team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing complex projects from inception to delivery, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and engaging with external partners to drive project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, work plans, and budgets, ensuring timely execution and effective resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and consultations with Indigenous communities and stakeholders to inform project development and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, communications, and outcomes, including progress reports and impact assessments.
  • Provide written and verbal briefings, data analysis, and impact measurement for executive and board stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the coordination and maintenance of a calendar of events and activities related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and community members, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project management, including budgets and financial processes, with at least 3 years' experience in the field.
  • A strong understanding of Indigenous issues, a commitment to fostering positive, sustainable relationships with Indigenous communities, and connection to community or experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including ability to meet deadlines, prioritise effectively, show initiative, and work autonomously.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills, including ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to engage with communities and stakeholders.

Estimated Salary: AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum
