Indigenous Engagement and Partnerships Director

The Indigenous Engagement & Partnerships Manager plays a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic engagement projects, building partnerships, and providing cultural leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and execute a First Nations stakeholder engagement strategy, building and maintaining positive relationships with key Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders.
- Policy and Cultural Leadership: Provide high-level advice on Indigenous cultural protocols, community consultation, and best practices. Support SBS's Reconciliation Action Plan by managing relationships with Reconciliation Australia and leading the implementation of key initiatives.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and management of Indigenous-focused projects and partnerships, including significant cultural and community events.
About you
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Indigenous engagement, with a proven track record of providing senior-level advice and managing complex projects.
- Strong strategic thinking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, languages, and communities.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams, budgets, and resources, with a focus on achieving strategic outcomes.
