Job Title: Senior Transportation Systems Planner

The role of a Senior Transportation Systems Planner is to oversee the planning, design and implementation of transportation systems.

Key Role: Traffic Engineer Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting intersection analysis and/or traffic modeling.
  • Analysing signal timing, parking and traffic data.
  • Traffic engineering design tasks, including swept path assessments, site access reviews and car parking layout reviews, devising intersection upgrades and road safety improvements.
  • Undertaking corridor studies.
  • Documenting traffic impact assessments (TIAs).
  • Preparing proposals, technical reports and presentations.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in transportation engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in traffic engineering and transport planning.
  • Experience with traffic modelling and design software such as SIDRA, VISSIM and AutoTurn.
  • Excellent communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
