Job Title: National Discipline Lead

We are seeking a highly accomplished Transport Planning leader to provide technical direction, mentorship and leadership to our national Transport Planning team.

  • Team leadership, including line management of the national Transport Planning team;
  • Provide technical direction to Transport Planning projects and workstreams;
  • Undertake the role of Project Director or Project Manager on large Transport Planning assignments;
  • Providing technical advice to support our clients in addressing their transport challenges;
  • Lead business development activities, including supporting the account management of key accounts;
  • Oversee Transport Planning bid development;
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategy and achievement of targets; and
  • Participate in global forums relevant to Transport Planning.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Direction: Provide expert guidance on Transport Planning projects and workstreams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives;
  • Leadership: Foster a collaborative environment within the national Transport Planning team, promoting open communication, teamwork, and continuous learning;
  • Project Management: Oversee large Transport Planning assignments, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and client satisfaction;
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth, develop strategies to expand our market presence, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve business targets;
  • Knowledge Sharing: Participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops to stay up-to-date with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends;
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective collaboration and delivery of results.
Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline;
  • Membership and/or active involvement with relevant industry bodies;
  • Previous consulting experience with a strong track record of client delivery;
  • Established client and industry networks;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to direct reports and proposals, lead meetings, prepare and deliver presentations to a high standard;
  • Experience in leading multi-discipline project teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership.
