Transport Planning Manager

Job Overview:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven and skilled professional to lead an experienced transport planning team.

The successful candidate will have full ownership over their area of work, working collaboratively with highly respected specialists and advisors.

About the Role:

As a Transport Planning Manager, you will lead and win work for the NSW transport planning team, collaborate with interstate leads for transport planning requirements management, develop and maintain excellent client relationships, deliver and manage a range of transport planning and other multidiscipline projects, line manage staff and develop a team strategic direction, and work with the ANZ Transport Planning Practice Lead to develop tactical strategies.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and win work for the NSW transport planning team
  • Collaborate with interstate leads for transport planning requirements management
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationship
  • Deliver and manage a range of transport planning and other multidiscipline projects
  • Line manage staff and develop a team strategic direction
  • Work with the ANZ Transport Planning Practice Lead to develop tactical strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering, Geography or similar
  • Diverse experience in winning work and growing teams
  • Project management experience (i.e. actively plan, manage, coordinate and run the project team)
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Experience in mentoring staff for professional development and upskilling
  • A complex problem solver and identify new innovative solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within larger multi-disciplinary projects and teams
