As a Workforce Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals facing health challenges find new employment opportunities and support them in returning to meaningful and sustainable work.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for assisting people to gain employment and enhance their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with injured workers, potential employers, and internal teams to provide safe and sustainable job opportunities;
- Contribute to the development of job seekers' skills and confidence through tailored support programs;
- Apply customer service principles to deliver exceptional employment services and job placement outcomes;
- Empower clients to effectively present their skills and abilities to potential employers;
- Establish and maintain relationships with local employers and organizations to foster new employment opportunities;
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in occupational and/or vocational rehabilitation is highly desirable;
- Previous experience in employment services or disability employment as a high performer;
- Strong resume writing skills and understanding of local labor market trends;
- Passion for assisting people to gain employment and enhance their careers;
- Ability to grow services and build strong relationships with key customers;
- Current driver's license and motor vehicle.
