A leading meat processing business seeks an experienced COO to drive operational efficiency, optimise yield and minimise downtime. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre professional to oversee all operations of their meat processing facilities and lead production teams.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in food processing or abattoir operations at a COO or Senior Management level, with a strong track record of achieving operational KPIs. They will be able to demonstrate expertise in process optimisation, automation, quality control and regulatory compliance, as well as provide strong, influential and collaborative leadership to make and implement strategic change.
This role offers the opportunity to join a growing business that has recently been acquired and is looking to double its meat processing capacity and expand into new domestic and international markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, achieving targeted throughput of animals per shift, maximising yield and efficiency while minimising downtime and costs, and ensuring 100% compliance with regulatory and animal welfare standards.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $180,000 - $220,000, based on industry benchmarks and location. The business offers a competitive remuneration package, including benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and achieve targeted throughput of animals per shift.
- Maximise yield and efficiency while minimising downtime and costs.
- Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and animal welfare standards.
- Lead safety initiatives and maintain a zero-incident workplace.
