We are seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to lead our meat processing operations in Melbourne. As the right candidate, you will have a proven track record of driving efficiencies through process improvement and automation, leveraging data to maximise productivity.
About the RoleThe successful applicant will oversee all operations of our meat processing facilities, focusing on maximum operational efficiency, optimising yield, minimising downtime, and maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.
You will lead production teams, manage budgets, and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for employees. Your expertise in process optimisation, automation, quality control, and regulatory compliance will be essential in achieving our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations and achieve targeted throughput of animals per shift.
- Maximise yield and efficiency while minimising downtime and costs.
- Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and animal welfare standards.
- Lead safety initiatives and maintain a zero-incident workplace.
- Drive strategic growth and automation process improvement projects.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to provide strong, influential, and collaborative leadership to make and implement strategic change. A demonstrable experience in achieving profit improvements and operationally focused approach will be highly valued.
Salary Estimate: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
