Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our vibrant and engaged team in the Microbiology department.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, by performing all routine microbiological procedures from point of specimen reception to execution of results for Pathological diagnosis.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for executing laboratory protocols with precision and accuracy, while maintaining current scientific knowledge and participating in both routine and audit related Quality Assurance activities.
  • Maintaining quality standards and delivering exceptional results requires sound knowledge of QC, QAP and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skills within Microbiology.
  • Sound knowledge of QC, QAP and troubleshooting.
