**The opportunity**

The primary objective/s of the position are:

- Responsibility for algal analysis of water and wastewater samples for both CHW and external customers, as well as conducting training in algae identification and enumeration with existing staff.
- Maintaining contact with external clients providing service and information and assisting other laboratory staff in ensuring DH, EPA and NATA requirements are met.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- Qualifications and experience satisfying the requirements for the authorisation to release test results for NATA.
- Demonstrated extensive relevant experience and competency in algal identification and enumeration, including freshwater cyanobacteria, green/flagellate/diatom algae species and the estimation of biovolume.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of a quality assurance program covering all aspects of the biological laboratory operations.
