Humanitarian Settlement Services Role Overview
As a dedicated Case Manager, you will play a vital role in providing essential settlement support and community care to individuals requiring assistance. This is a full-time position available at our Melbourne location.
About the RoleTo succeed in this position, you must demonstrate:
- A Diploma in Community Services (Case Management) or a relevant qualification with units related to case management or working with vulnerable populations
- A current valid Working with Children Check for Victoria
- A current valid Driver's Licence for Victoria
- Experience in delivering effective case management services to clients from diverse backgrounds in areas such as settlement, community detention, asylum seeker programs, community health, or related fields
Additionally, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and client advocacy skills, as well as the ability to liaise effectively with partners, service providers, clients, and their communities, and volunteers.
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of current Commonwealth and State policies related to immigration, settlement, asylum seekers, income support, and other relevant social policies, as well as demonstrated flexibility in responding to changing policy and program needs.

Key responsibilities include providing humanitarian entrant case management, working autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, meeting reporting requirements, and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in IT standard software, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and ability to use Internet and email and other online products is essential.
