- Role Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Community Development professional to join our team and contribute to the settlement needs of Humanitarian Entrants in their first 5 years of arrival in Australia.
CatholicCare Victoria is a leading provider of charitable and social services, delivering excellence across various areas, including child, family and youth services, family relationship services, school counselling and pastoral care services, social housing, employment and advocacy services. Our primary area of investment in addressing homelessness is through our subsidiary CatholicCare Victoria Housing (CCVH).
The ProgramOur Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program works closely with Humanitarian Entrants to address their settlement needs, improve social participation, economic well-being, independence, personal well-being and community connectedness. We focus on helping clients improve their English language skills, engage in education and training, and gain meaningful employment. SETS Case Workers provide case management support, group programs and information sessions, offering clients settlement-related information, advice, advocacy and assistance to access mainstream and other relevant services.
