Assistant Coach Position

Award-winning coaching opportunities are available at our esteemed aquatic programs.

We seek an experienced and passionate assistant coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of junior swimmers, focusing on skills, technique, training, and race education.

Key responsibilities include conducting basic strength and conditioning sessions, team-building activities, and developing general people skills. Opportunities exist to work with state and national swimmers, adult squad swimmers, and lead one-on-one adult learn-to-swim sessions.

The role requires attending specific swim meets allocated by the Head Coach or Coaching Director and participating in in-house training days and the annual Element Cup.

Progression of coaching skills and knowledge through mentoring from our Head Coaches and Coaching Directors is also expected. Engage in coaches' meetings, coaches' days, swim meets, and internal events, providing opportunities to network and collaborate with all coaches within the program.

Skill and Experience Requirements:

  • Teacher of strokes and water safety (Learn to Swim Qual) as a minimum.
  • At least 1 year of higher level LTS teaching experience.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate swimmers of all levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of strength and conditioning principles.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends for swim meets and events.
