Opportunity Overview:

A competitive swimming coach is required to lead our squad program. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced coach who enjoys mentoring children and adult athletes, and wants to develop the skills and attributes of competitive swimming and water safety.

  • Develop training plans that demonstrate progression for swimmers through different levels
  • Oversee a team of instructors to design the program and pathway from Swimming and Water Safety
  • Promote the squad program and participation in the affiliated Swimming Club
  • Ensure safe and effective delivery of all squad activities
Job Description:

As a Head Swimming Coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs that cater to the needs of our swimmers. You will work closely with a team of instructors to design and deliver high-quality coaching services. Your primary goal will be to create an environment where swimmers can learn and grow, while also promoting the club's values and mission.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Teacher of Competitive Swimming / Competitive Strokes qualification
  • Bronze level certification (preferred)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Previous experience and success in a comparable role
