About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bar Team Leader to join our team at Southport Sharks. As a key member of our bar operations team, you will be responsible for leading by example and upholding our service excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Train and mentor new and existing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor stock levels and implement effective stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Maintain high standards of bar cleaning and WHS procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Monitor staff working hours and trade levels, and liaise with Duty Managers to optimize staffing and service delivery.
  • Supervise staff performance and skill level, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve overall service quality.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests, ensuring a high standard of service at all times.
  • Provide bar service and table clearing services to guests, handling all cash transactions efficiently and securely.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current QLD RSA Certificate.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a bar environment.
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of bar products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Trustworthiness and reliability, with a flexible approach to working a variety of night and weekend shifts, including public holidays.
