Job Title: Fire Protection Specialist

A premier organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join its team in Alice Springs, Coomalie Shire, Australia.

As a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective maintenance of facility infrastructure and critical systems at OASIS.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire systems and associated infrastructure in accordance with applicable standards
  • Repairing and installing associated fire systems and infrastructure
  • Programming Notifier systems
  • Coordinating with operational and maintenance personnel to schedule life safety system impairments as required for repairs, maintenance, and new installations
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of all relevant facilities infrastructure, equipment, and systems
  • Inspecting fire extinguishers
  • Instructing and training site incident response personnel in the operation of life safety systems as it applies to their duties

Desirable qualifications include NICET I or II - Fire Special Hazards and experience with Notifier systems.

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is preferred, as well as experience with a diverse range of fire systems and suppression equipment.
